BEHIND THE LOGO

Cartoon rabbit wearing heart-shaped glasses, sitting on a park bench surrounded by stacks of money, with some money falling off the bench

Our logo was inspired by the meaning behind the Hasenbank name and the amazing unofficial logo one of our longtime clients created for us.

The Bunny on the Bench

The idea for the logo came from an image that one of our longtime client’s developed and sent us, along with a note explaining the meaning behind our name.

In German, the word “Hasen” means hare or bunny. The word bank comes from the Italian word “banco” which means bench, because the first banks were benches in Italian trading centers. This client has always affectionately referred to us as “BunnyBank” and we wanted to pay homage to this connection in our official branding.

The “BunnyBank” Logo

At first glance, the symbolism may not be obvious, but take a closer look and you’ll notice a bunny ear appears on the H of the logo and the A is designed to look like a bench.

Thank you to Charlotte Ouwehand and the whole team at RedNight Consulting for the inspiration and for always being big “BunnyBank” supporters. To the team at Solomon Advising, thank you for taking a story that was close to our hearts and delivering a brand we are absolutely in love with.
